Safety

Safety has been a very important consideration in the inteGREAT scheme. As a result of consultation with the public, with local businesses and with the Police, there are three important elements of the scheme to make Great Yarmouth a safer environment.

• Lighting, particularly bringing more light to the seafront area. 
• increasing the network of CCTV cameras available to the control room officers.
• Pedestrian safety is being considered in the current proposals for changes to the highway along Marine Parade and Regent Road.
