Great Yarmouth’s Regent Road / Marine Parade is getting a major facelift that will bring big benefits for local people and holiday visitors. About £9 million is being spent in the seafront area on a range of projects which will improve facilities for residents and visitors and encourage business growth.

The focus for attention in Phase one of the scheme is the pedestrianisation of the remainder of Regent Road, openning into a large paved area leading to Britannia Pier and the Hollywood Cinema. High quality natural stone paving, specialist feature lighting and street furniture will make a big difference to this area.

Detailed plans have been developed to completely reconstruct Marine Parade and funding is currently being sought to continue the scheme up to Main Cross Road junction.
